The AutistiX - a band worth looking out for...

I saw The AutistiX last summer at and the South End Green festival...so I was so happy when they came to us last week for their first T shirt run. They are about to set off on tour, so do look out for their name. A blend of punk and pop with some great beatles covers. They know how to get their crowd dancing.

the kentish towner...

If you have never looked at this website...please do...its one of the best local publications about...‘award winning’!!!

Three very nice Kenitshtowners came to visit us on Friday, and were brave enough to venture onto our roof to get this panoramic pic of our very much loved Kentish Town....

YOUNG AND TALENTED....

Frank Cameron has launched his own range of illustrative T shirts. His very distinctive and quirky drawings prove the point;

that when the artwork is good, a one colour print is simply the best...check out his website http://frankcameron.com

Re cylcing...

Last year Fifth Column re-cycled 4000KG of waste. Not much ends up in the bin these days...Inks are never wasted, all plastic, paper, glass and card go to First Mile for re-cyling. Left over plain T -shirt stock is send to Barnados or our local Oxfam, and even our screen cleaning liquids are left to separate so we can use them again and again.

Amnesty International

As proud supporters of Amnesty International we are happy to say that the campaign for the regulation of arms trade was 100 % successful and on Tuesday 2nd April Un General Assembly agreed to regulate the arms trade to ‘high risk’ countries, which commit or are suspected of committing abuses…. Let’s get involved as there is still plenty to do!!!

New Stanley and Stella range...

Fifth Column are delighted to be able to offer an exciting new range of certified organic products made by Stanley and Stella. Great styles, fabulous fabrics, lovely colours and really competitive prices too. Do email us if you are interested in seeing the full range.

New wall hanging...

Not quite a quaker quilt, but Cat's more modest effort to peice together offcuts from 2011/12.

Perhpas your design is here??

a bit of history...

We came across this piece from the Camden New Journal 1980, when Fifth Column was in its infancy. Sodge, Pedro, Chris and our designer Robin were busy designing and printing at all hours...doing everything by hand. We are talking pre computer days here, when all the artwork was done on PAPER and then photographed or cut with ruby film to make the positives to expose onto the screens. All the shirts were printed by hand...one colour at a time...the ink had to dry between each colour...and everything registered by eye. The seal the colours we used to go to the local laundrette on Kilburn High Road and chuck the shirts in the tumble drier for half an hour...Bygone days!!!
